La Couronne was the first French designed and built major warship. During her life as a warship 1636 – 1641, La Couronne carried up to 72 cannons. Le Couronne is an extremely ornate ship as was typical of 17th century warships. 

My 1:100 scale model of La Couronne is based on the Corel kit. The finished model will be 32 1/3 in long and 24 in high. A natural wood finish will predominate with several painted accents. The interesting rigging pattern of this model will be a fine representation of the sprit-sail era.
